Leading is earned, not assigned: a top band in at least one independent directory, meaning Chambers Band 1, IFLR1000 Tier 1 or Legal 500 EMEA Tier 1. Established covers every other full service firm here, a good many of them ranked further down those same tables. Boutique describes the kind of practice, not where it places. The standing is our reading. The rankings on each profile are not.
Something here wrong or missing? A ranking, a standing, an address, an office that has closed, a firm that has rebranded, or one we have not listed at all. Write to corrections@esquirely.com.ng and we will check it against the source and fix it.
Before you write, find out who will read it. A letter addressed to the partner who leads the practice you are interested in, or to the firm’s recruitment or HR lead, reads very differently from one that opens “Dear Sir/Madam”. Most firms list their partners and associates on their own site, and LinkedIn usually fills the gaps.
If no name is published anywhere, address the role rather than nobody at all: The Managing Partner or The Head of Recruitment is correct and professional. Avoid “To Whom It May Concern”.
